Donate to the HHA for the Restoration and Maintenance of Hollywoodland’s Historic-Cultural Monuments.
Hollywoodland has the privilege of being home to two sets of Historic-Cultural Monuments. Our Two Stone Gates (Monument #20), which sit at the intersection of Beachwood, Westshire and Belden Drives and mark the official entrance to our community, were declared by the City of Los Angeles in 1963. And Hollywoodland’s Historic Granite Retaining Walls and Interconnecting Granite Stairs (Monument #535) were declared in 1991. Both were built by European stone masons circa 1923 and are a unique and important character-defining element of the neighborhood in which we live.
These monuments are in various states of disrepair. Some need major work to restore them to their former glory. Some just need a little TLC. Your Hollywoodland Homeowners Association is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of these monuments so they can be enjoyed and admired for generations to come. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
