Yes, fireworks are tradition. But before lighting one yourself, consider this:
🐶 Pets often flee in terror—many are never found
🪖 Combat veterans may suffer traumatic flashbacks
👵 Elderly neighbors can become confused or overwhelmed
👶 Babies and children may be terrified, or experience hearing pain
Fireworks Do Not Belong in Hollywoodland
Fireworks and Historic Preservation Overlay Zones (HPOZs) are a dangerous mix. Neighborhoods like Hollywoodland are filled with century-old homes, dense canyons, and limited access roads—many of which weren’t built for today’s volume of traffic or emergency response.
